Poor Description led to buying a incompatible product.

If you have Vista dont buy it cause it wont work. It is end line and they will never support Vista for this product. Would be nice if the people selling it tell their customers that. Waste of money.

Fingerprint Security Pros And Cons

Okay, I like this drive MUCH better than most fingerprint drives, because there is NO PASSWORD override feature / backdoor. It is FINGERPRINT only. Which means no one can "brute force" the password dialog and gain access. On the other hand (or finger if you will) you have no protection against being "FORCED" to scan your finger, perhaps at gunpoint. Whereas no device I have seen offers this type of security anyway- but it is worth a mention. IF there was a way to SCAN YOUR FINGER and THEN ENTER A PASSWORD, you can always use it as a shared access device, my finger, and someone elses password. Making NEITHER person able to get data alone. (This can be achieved by using software encrypted "containers" on the drive which are only available when finger is scanned). Also this device makes a great "WILL AND TEXTAMENT" device, think about it- Scan your "benificiaries" fingers, and yours. Then type up a will telling them where to find a lot of cash that you did not put the safe deposit box (due to the tax man's share) and when you die, the lawyers and tax jerks cannot find it! =- They can only tax on the value of the device itself! Be sure and leave a reciept for the $12 purchase for inheritance taxation purposes! Not a bad investment eh? (of course having it means you may be a terrorist under the bush regime. So expect to be harassed at the upcoming domestic checkpoints!)
